Formulated on Sweden’s west coast with a local expert, they focuses on natural, purposeful ingredients that support real skin through real changes. Founded by Jannie, whose own skin journey shaped every decision, LEN Skincare is proof that skincare can be simple, soft, and uncompromising.
Thank you for taking the time to answer few of my questions. To begin simply I would like to know more about who you are and what your’s proposing about Len skincare ?
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about LEN SKINCARE. LEN was born from a desire to create skincare that’s as thoughtful in its formulation as it is in its purpose. Rooted in high standards for ingredients and production, we craft minimalist skincare essentials that travel well and feel like home wherever you are.
But LEN is more than just products. It’s a space where everyone is welcome. A soft, simple reminder that skincare can be gentle, effective, and inclusive. Like many, I’ve struggled with combination skin fluctuating from dry to oily, acne-prone to sensitive. I created LEN to meet those changing needs with formulas that adapt and support skin through all its phases.
And just like the Swedish word “len”, meaning soft, our mission is to create not just softness on the skin, but in the way we connect with ourselves and with each other.
So you’ve struggled with skin, what skin stories do you carry with you, and how have they shaped your approach to care and that have shaped Len Skincare?
My skincare journey began around the age of 14, when I first started experiencing acne. That moment sparked a deep interest in beauty. I became passionate about makeup and skincare so much so that I pursued a career as a makeup artist.
I’ve now worked in the industry for over 12 years and trained professionally in New York. Makeup is a creative outlet I truly love. But for me, skincare is the foundation. Good skin doesn’t just support a natural look, it allows it to shine.
Len Skincare means “gentle” in Swedish. What drew you to this name, and how does it reflect your approach to skincare?
I wanted a name that felt timeless something that reflected the heart of the brand: kindness, simplicity, and a gentle approach to skincare and life. Since all of our products are made in Sweden, it felt natural to choose a name that carried a piece of that origin.
LEN means “soft” in Swedish a word that beautifully captures both the feel of our formulas and the spirit of the brand.
Your brand puts a lot of emphasis on slowness, rituals, and the senses. How do you define “slow skincare” in your own terms?
To me, Slow Skincare is something you can return to something reliable, grounding, and calming to the senses. Our Face Mist Extract carries a fresh, natural scent of cucumber.
It was important to me that the fragrance came directly from real ingredients not added or overpowering, but soft and refreshing. A sensory pause in your day.
I also believe skincare should be both effective and visually soothing. The design of a product is the first thing you see, and it sets the tone for your ritual. That’s why our packaging is calm, clean, and minimalist.
What textures, scents, or sensations make you feel grounded? How do they appear in your formulas?
Light textures that absorb quickly and work with the skin never against it are essential to our formulations.
We focus on creating products that feel breathable, never heavy or pore-clogging.
Scent is just as intentional. We keep it fresh and minimal, always enhancing what’s already in the formula never overpowering, always true to the ingredients.
You’ve worked with a trusted chemist in your hometown that is formulating the mist . What’s it like translating something so intimate, your skin story into a scientific formula?
One of my favorite parts of the process is working with our chemist, Johan.
His knowledge, creativity, and passion for formulation are truly inspiring. I love seeing an idea take shape turning a simple concept into something real and purposeful with the help of Johan and his team. It’s where the magic happens.
Do you have personal rituals or gestures that ground you, in your skincare routine or beyond?
I’m a proud mom of two little ones which means me time is rare. But one thing I always make space for is my skincare ritual, both morning and evening. It’s my way to reconnect with myself gently rinsing the day away, applying carefully chosen products, and creating a moment of calm.
Throughout the day, I often reach for our Face Mist Extract. It’s a quick pause a refreshing boost that brings glow and clarity in the middle of life’s business. And when I have a quiet moment to myself, you’ll likely find me making a matcha latte. It’s one of my favorite rituals nourishing, grounding, and always a little indulgent.
Do you have personal rituals or gestures that ground you, in your skincare routine or beyond?
To me, good skin is calm skin not itchy, red, or reactive. Just balanced, comfortable, and at ease. It’s not about perfection, but about feeling good in your own skin.
